Why Won't My Automatic Gate Stay Closed?

  • Excessive closing pressure on the gate. Re-adjust the close limit switch on the actuator.
  • Automatic reverse sensitivity is set too sensitive. Re-adjust - CAUTION: Automatic reverse sensitivity should be sensitive enough to avoid injury.
  • Gate is mechanically binding. Disconnect the actuator from the gate and eliminate binding.
  • The battery voltage is too low. Battery voltage should be 12 to 14 volts under load. Check solar panel output or battery charger output or re-evaluate usage.
  • Replace the circuit board.

  • Gate is mechanically binding. Disconnect the actuator from the gate and eliminate binding.
  • The actuator extension tube is bent. Inspect for damage and replace the extension tube if required.
  • Current sensitivity is adjusted to too sensitive. Re-adjust the current sensitivity.
  • Replace the circuit board.

Why Is My Automatic Gate Randomly Opening, Closing, & Stopping?

  • The transmitter is stuck. Check all transmitters, keypads, pushbuttons, etc., for a stuck button.
